Welcome to St. Basil’s Parish at the University of St. Michael’s College

Are you exploring the possibility of becoming a Catholic? Curious about the Catholic Church? You are welcome to join us for worship at St. Basil’s. Check out our Schedule. At weekend Masses a parishioner can host you as a guide during the liturgy, or hospitality ministers can give you a handout to help you participate in the Mass – just arrive a few minutes before Mass and check in with our staff or a hospitality volunteer (wearing a nametag).
Consider joining us for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), a year-long process of exploration, prayer, reflection, study, and conversation that leads to full Christian initiation in the Roman Catholic community through Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil.
Contact JoAnn Lopez (joann.lopez@utoronto.ca) if you’re new to the Catholic Church.

We are delighted to welcome you to our parish. Our community is made more beautiful by the presence and gifts of each new member. We have many opportunities throughout the year for you to connect with our community and get to know your neighbours. New parishioners are asked to register so that we can get to know you, and you will be invited to connect with our Emmaus Team (welcoming committee). We hope you will find a true home here at St. Basil’s where you may share your gifts and grow as a disciple of Jesus.
Registration is an official way of becoming a member of a parish community. It allows us to know who is present in our community, to take your identity and needs into consideration as we plan, and to ensure you are heard in our parish. It also gives us the opportunity to communicate with you, especially at critical moments. Registration is an invitation to make a deeper commitment to the life of our parish – we believe every member of our community has something to receive and something to offer here, and we look forward to getting to know you better!
