Becoming Catholic & Adult Confirmation

Are you exploring the possibility of becoming a Catholic? Curious about the Catholic Church? Consider joining us for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), a year-long process of exploration, prayer, reflection, study, and conversation that leads to full Christian initiation in the Roman Catholic community through Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil.

While RCIA is designed for those who have never been baptized, those who have been baptized in a Christian tradition other than Catholicism can also participate and would be received into the Catholic Church through a profession of faith, Eucharist, and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil. We are also able to accomodate those who were baptized Catholic but who did not receive the Sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation.

Our RCIA program includes weekly meetings typically held on Wednesday nights from October through Easter. Each session includes a time of prayer, a presentation, and small group conversation.  At times throughout the year the cohort will gather for a half day retreat, or will be asked to attend a weekend Mass as a group for a special ritual and recognition by the parish community. Each participant also meets regularly with a sponsor through the RCIA process, who serve as conversation partners in their faith journey. We encourage all participants to attend Mass regularly at the parish, and we are able to match you with a Mass partner, who will host you at Mass so you feel more comfortable.
