This past year we have assembled the Basil Brigade of volunteers, created and curated a community Arts Show, had several Bake Sales to fundraise, held a Volunteer Appreciation Picnic, hosted several Book Clubs, and put on several novel events to suit the changing seasons: Wine & Board Games on Valentine’s Day, Ice Cream Social in July, and Vocational Speed Dating in the fall semester.
In the near future, we hope to expand our volunteer basis, increase leadership and ministry opportunities, find ways to integrate arts into liturgies, empower individuals to use their gifts and talents, and continue to be innovative in event planning with new and existing community members.

“If we are created in the image and likeness of God, our design is a social, creative being with a desire for belonging. We experience God in each other, and so it is important that we have communal encounters. Healthy community thrives in active education, generous hospitality, and authentic relationships.”
