French Connection

Director of Music & Principal Organist John Paul Farahat presents the inaugural concert on the newly-restored organ of Saint Basil’s Church featuring composers with connections and influences in France on Friday, November 10, at 7:30PM

In addition to works by Pierre Du Mage (1674 – 1751), Charles-Marie Widor (1844 – 1937), and J. S. Bach (1685 – 1750), the concert will include the electrifying and newly-transcribed Première Toccata improvisée on the Kyrie from Missa Orbis Factor by Victor Togni (1935 – 1965), as well as Marcel Dupré’s (1886 – 1971) Cortège et Litanie, and César Franck’s (1822 – 1890) monumental Choral no. 2 en si mineur.

Admission is free, $20 suggested donation towards the music program of Saint Basil’s Catholic Parish.
