Living the Gospel by supporting vocations

Martin Dicuangco had a life-changing encounter when he visited Serra House, a residence run by St. Augustine’s Seminary for those discerning a priestly vocation. He is now a third-year theology student at St. Augustine’s. “I thank ShareLife for supporting St. Augustine’s Seminary,” says Martin, “where young men like myself, after experiencing the love of Christ, are joyfully preparing for ordination to the priesthood.”

May 5 is ShareLife Sunday. Please give generously.

A Message from Fr. Morgan

As Canada celebrates National Volunteer Week this week, please join me in expressing profound thanks to all the St. Basil’s volunteers, who share so generously their gifts of time and talent to strengthen this faith community and help bring the love and compassion of Jesus Christ to others.

Tenebræ

Join our parish community during Holy Week for Tenebrae on Wednesday, April 17 at 7:00pm. Latin for shadows or darkness, Tenebræ is the ancient service that was originally celebrated in the early morning hours of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. The evening will feature a condensed version of the three day service, with prayers, readings, and choral music responses, to usher the beginning of the Triduum. For more information, contact JP Farahat johnpaul.farahat@utoronto.ca
